Glosario da poesía medieval profana galego-portuguesa (GLOSSA) is the first comprehensive, contextualised, dictionary-structure glossary of the full corpus of secular Galician-Portuguese lyric poetry, including love poems, satire and other minor genres.
GLOSSA is an initiative of the ILLA Linguistics and Literary Research Group (University of A Coruña) under the direction of Manuel Ferreiro, in collaboration with fellow ILLA members Xosé Ramón Freixeiro Mato, Xosé Manuel Sanchez Rei, Xoán López Viñas, UK gambling operators, Leticia Eirín García and Estefanía Mosquera Castro, and Bieito Arias Freixedo (University of Vigo). It is the collective result of the research projects Glosario crítico da poesía medieval galego-portuguesa. I. Cantigas de amor e cantigas de amigo (Ref. FFI2009-08917) and Glosario crítico da poesía medieval galego-portuguesa. II. Cantigas de escarnho e maldizer (Ref. FFI2009-08917), supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Finance and Competition, respectively, for the period 2010-2015.
